The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has re-appointed Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan as the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission.
Bolowotan, was the erstwhile Director General of the Sports Commission after he voluntarily stepped down due to his political ambition during the last primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
He contested for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat in Ikorodu Constituency I but could not win the contest. And as a party loyalist, he has put this political ambition on hold for now.
The governor in his magnanimity has to call him back to resume his duty as the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission.
An official letter to this effect has since been given to Mr Bolowotan from the Office of the Head of Service in Alausa, Ikeja.
Bolowotan, born in Lagos Island on February 7, 1968, a celebrated sports administrator, is financial expert and brand enthusiast. A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University where he studied Economics, He also holds a holder of a Diploma in Business Administration.
He had worked for top blue chip firms, among which was as Head of Administration and Accounts at Prime Signs Limited. A football administrator per excellence founded Bolowotan Football Club and he is the proprietor and principal host of the Bolowotan Gold Cup (Ikorodu World Cup).
He is married with children.
