Chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege and its environs have been mobilised to sensitise residents on the importance of registering to obtain their Permanent Voters’ Cards.
Chief Akinropo Charles is in charge of Orile Agege and other parts of Oko-Oba. At the same time, Mr Olusesan Akinoye will take care of the Oniwaya and Isale Oja areas of the local council.
To this end, shops and markets situated around the Agege area of Lagos State were on Wednesday, 27th July 2022, shut over the Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC.
Businesses were closed down to enable shop owners, businesspeople and others to register and obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card before the deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Speaking with our correspondent, one of the business owners, Ms Modinat Ashiru, said that the order came from the office of Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, Hon Egunjobi, that all shops and businesses be shut to enable them to procure their Permanent Voter’s Card before the deadline.
