Erelu Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo, the Proprietress and Founder of the prominent, privately operated Deborah Multi-Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in Owode Oba-ile, Akure, Ondo State, is set to be traditionally crowned as Erelu Atunluse of the Owo Kingdom. This event will take place on April 11th, 2026, at the Olowo’s Palace in Owo, as organized by the Olowo-in-Council of Chiefs.
This event follows the recognition of her impactful contributions to the advancement of individuals and communities both within Ondo State and around the world. In appreciation of her efforts, the Council of Chiefs, led by the esteemed Oba Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye III, who serves as the Olowo of Owo Kingdom and as Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, has decided to honor her and appoint her as the Erelu Atunluse of the historic Owo Empire on April 1st, 2026, in front of a large audience.
Since her appointment, she has kept a low profile, engaging in the essential traditional rites associated with her new role. The formal announcement of her status will take place after she pays homage to the honored throne of the Olowo, which will include a thanksgiving procession from her residence at Aare White House, located on km 1 Ikare/Owo road, to the inner chamber of Ugha Eduma at the Olowo’s Palace in Oke-Owo. This procession will involve her set of traditional Chiefs, a group that functions as an extension of the Privy Council of Chiefs, along with the full assembly of traditional Chiefs.
Significantly, the royal procession is anticipated to feature prominent figures such as Aare Atunluse of Owo Kingdom, Prince Rotimi Benjamin Ibidapo, OON, the spouse of the honoree, along with Elder Edson Aderemi Fagbemi, Mr. Andrew Ibidapo, Dr. Lateef Ajanaku Makun, Mrs. Atinuke Okeya, Pastor T Dada from RCCG in New Jersey City, and various distinguished individuals and leaders from diverse sectors across the globe.
Following the adherence to customary practices, friends, colleagues, well-wishers, and the public are invited to gather at Mydas Hotel and Resorts for a celebratory event featuring performances by the acclaimed King Adewale Ayuba and his Bonsue band.
The inaugural Erelu Atunluse, Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo, is the offspring of the notable philanthropist and business leader Chief Jimoh Ajanaku Makun, who serves as the Executive Chairman of Ajanaku Makun Group of Companies and holds the title of Seriki Musilimu of Owoland. Her mother, Chief Mrs. Deborah Adeyoriola Ujayoriade Ajanaku Makun, is known as the Iya Isale of Methodist Church Nigeria, Owo Diocese, Oke-Owo Circuit, and is a recognized trader who will be interred on April 17th, 2026.
It is worth noting that Erelu Remilekun also holds the titles of Yeye Aare Apesin of Akure Kingdom, Yeye Kajewolu of Akokoland, and Yeye Aare Akile of Ile-Ife.
Remilekun Mulikat Ibidapo is an American-certified nurse, a business owner in the merchandise trading sector, and a prominent social figure who supports numerous clubs and organizations dedicated to women’s and community advancement.
During an interview conducted a few weeks back as she took on her new role, she expressed: “For many years, I have dedicated myself to improving humanity and society, beginning in elementary school when I would share what I had with my classmates and peers. I came to understand that eating alone wasn’t fulfilling unless I had friends with me to share the experience.

“These values have followed me throughout boarding school, university, my marriage, becoming a mother, and ultimately in my career as a businesswoman. Indeed, this generosity runs in my family. My parents have a reputation for their kindness. To me, it is rewarding. I cannot cease from giving, and all praise and thanks are due to God.”
It is important to highlight that the title of Erelu Atunluse represents a well-structured and established role aimed at fostering the progress and development of both the people and the entire Owo community, as recognized by the Olowo-in-Council.
The individual who holds this title is anticipated to assist in various community development initiatives, thus rendering it a respected and honorable position within the Olowo royal council.
